ABOUT
To celebrate the launch of Michael Jordan Motorsports, Air Jordan released a special edition sneaker, the Air Jordan IV Retro Motorsport. I was tasked with creating a bespoke typeface connected to the shoe.
TYPEFACE
This typeface is inspired by the distinctive tread patterns found on motorcycle tires and incorporates the textured circular elements reminiscent of an NBA basketball. The repeated use of lines and circles follows the same axis as the side netting seen on the Motorsport sneaker.
